What we run

Programs

Six programs covering the complete journey, from a child who has never held a bat to a player preparing for representative cricket.

Beginner cricket

Ages 7+ · No experience needed

A friendly introduction to the game. Players learn grip, stance, a safe bowling action, catching and the basic laws of cricket, using age-appropriate balls and shortened formats so everyone bats and bowls.

  • • Small-group coaching
  • • Soft and modified balls to build confidence
  • • Club equipment provided while learning

Player development

All age groups

Structured technical work in batting, bowling, fielding and fitness. Each player works on individual focus areas alongside team skills, with progress reviewed across the season.

  • • Individual development focus areas
  • • Video review of technique
  • • Progression through CYCC age groups

Specialist coaching clinics

Guest specialists · Optional

Our own coaches are volunteers. For specialist work we occasionally bring in an outside coach, and the families who take part pay that coach’s fee directly — the club takes nothing and adds nothing.

  • • Volunteer club coaches, all background-checked
  • • Age-group specific session plans
  • • Optional, and never required to play for CYCC

Competitive cricket

U11 · U13 · U15 · U19

Selected squads playing fixtures against regional youth sides. Players experience real match pressure, team roles, and the responsibility that comes with representing a club.

  • • Regular season fixtures
  • • Match reports and scorecards
  • • Team selection on merit and attendance

Indoor training

Winter / off-season

Cincinnati winters do not have to stop cricket. Indoor nets keep technique sharp through the off-season with a focus on repetition, strength and skill under controlled conditions.

  • • Indoor nets and drills
  • • Strength, agility and conditioning
  • • Smaller groups, more repetitions

Camps & clinics

School breaks

Short, intensive coaching camps during school breaks, including guest-coach clinics and specialist sessions for wicketkeepers, spinners and pace bowlers.

  • • Multi-day skill camps
  • • Guest and specialist coaches
  • • Open to non-members by arrangement

How it fits together

One season,
one pathway

Every CYCC member trains weekly, is considered for match selection in their age group, and has a clear route to the next stage. Programs are designed to complement each other rather than compete for your family’s weekends.
