There is no paid staff behind this club. Every session, fixture and tournament happens because a parent stepped forward. A couple of hours a month genuinely makes a difference.

Where we need help

Volunteer roles

You do not need to know cricket for most of these. Tell us what you can offer and we will match you to something useful.

Coaching support

Assist coaches during sessions, run drill stations, help younger players with basics.

Training support

Set up and pack down nets and equipment, keep sessions running to time.

Game operations

Scoring, umpiring support, team management and match day logistics.

Infrastructure

Ground preparation, matting, nets, storage and liaison with venues.

Equipment

Track, maintain and transport club kit. Keep the gear bag in good order.

Jerseys & kit

Coordinate sizing, orders and distribution of club uniforms.

Finance & admin

Registrations, membership tracking, club accounts and record keeping.

Photography & video

Capture training and match day, and help build the club gallery and highlights.

Tournament operations

Help run CYCC tournaments: scheduling, officials, scoring, awards and hospitality.

Fundraising & sponsorship

Approach local businesses, build sponsor relationships and run fundraising events.

Communications

Keep parents informed, update this website and manage club social media.

Before you start

What we ask
of volunteers

Reliability. Tell us what you can commit to, and let us know early if plans change.
Safety. Volunteers in regular contact with players complete background screening.
Conduct. Follow the club code of conduct and set the tone for our players.
Discretion. Player and family information stays confidential.
