Questions
Registration FAQ
My child has never played cricket. Is that a problem? +
Not at all. A large share of our players start with no experience. Beginners are coached in small groups with modified equipment until they are ready for hard-ball cricket.
What equipment do we need to buy? +
Start with a helmet that fits and comfortable sports shoes. The club has bats, pads and gloves available while you decide. A personal abdominal guard is required for hard-ball sessions.
Are girls welcome at CYCC? +
Yes. All CYCC age groups are open to girls and boys, and we want to grow girls cricket in Cincinnati.
What if we join partway through the season? +
Get in touch. We accept mid-season registrations where places remain, and will tell you honestly whether it makes more sense to start with the next intake.
Is financial assistance available? +
We never want cost to be the reason a child cannot play. Contact us privately and we will do what we can through club funds and sponsor support.
